Foreclosure Town
Foreclosure
Town is one part of a larger real estate
service company called Foreclosure World.
There are also several other names that the
company operates under such as foreclosure
School, Leads, Store, and more all related
to foreclosure training and directories.
Multiple names for one company,
especially if they are providing the same
service is a huge red flag. In the
case of Foreclosure Town the warning is
warranted as the company has many complaints
filed against it.
They advertise a large directory of
Foreclosed homes for the price of a non
refundable $400. The problem is that
their foreclosure lists are extremely poor
in comparison to the competition. They
are lacking updates and often don't have
contact information, have multiple listings
for the same properties, and are missing
vital information like delinquency dates.
Aside from the poor quality of their
product the parent company for Foreclosure
Town has a slew of accusations against it.
They are accused of fraudulent billing
practices, spamming, and poor customer
service. Now you know why they operate
under all those different names.
Foreclosure investing can be very
profitable and seems to be the popular form
of buying real estate these days with
foreclosures at an all time high.
However there are many companies that are
jumping on the bandwagon simply to take
advantage of people while the market is hot.
Foreclosure Town seems to be one of them.

Comments to date: 5. Page 1 of 1. Average Rating: Tammy Bluefield, VA | 1:36pm on Friday, April 17th, 2009 | I know where the homes are in my area, and the homes pictured are not the homes that are actually for sale. Most of the homes are pictured as nicer homes than what they are. This is a big SCAM!!! |
Michael Bell Covington, GA | 4:34pm on Wednesday, April 15th, 2009 | This company charged a fee of almost $80 to my account without my permission. The bank tells me that I may not be able to get my money back because they cannot find an address and phone number for this company. If anyone knows any of this information, it would be appreciated. |
Dean Boivin Saginaw, MI | 6:12pm on Friday, February 20th, 2009 | Foreclosuretown is posting pictures of our area listings that are totally misleading. Pictures of $200-300,000 homes are placed on $20,000 foreclosure properties. Some of them our listings, I know what they look like.
Most of the properties listed on their site from our area contain misinformation. The pictures aren't even the actual home. These sites are a rip off, you're better off creating a relationship with a savy Realtor. |
Brian Standly Hollywood | 8:27pm on Monday, May 5th, 2008 | I sent for the 30 day free trial course. After looking it over for a week, I decided it was not something I could do with the limited time I have. I returned the course per their exact instructions. At the end of the 30 days, they still charged my credit card $297.00. I emailed them with no reply, so I filed Fraud charges against them. They still have not contacted me and I'm waiting for my credit card company to refund my money. |
