Drop Shipping
Drop Shipping
is an increasing trend in home business
opportunities. For those of you
that don’t know, Drop Shipping is a form of
sales in which you sign up as a
reseller for any given company and sell
their products without actually having to
pay for storage, shipping, or inventory.
There are many positives and negatives
with the Drop Shipping business; I’ll take
you through a few so you can get an idea of
what this business is all about. Drop
Shipping is relatively risk free and with
little overhead, once again since you haven't purchased any products and aren't
paying to store them anywhere you don't
loose money if you can’t sell anything.
This is what’s so attractive about Drop
Shipping.
On the other hand Drop Shipping
can quickly turn into a hustle and grind
type of business. Since you are directly
competing with other resellers and the
original manufacturer of the product you attract
customers by lowering prices, this
drastically shrinks your profit margin.
After all is said and done
it's possible to make a living from this
type of business. However, it's important to
establish relationships and try to focus on
cornering the market on specific products to truly succeed in
Drop Shipping.

Had to sign up with my credit card info just to see the prices. Planned on selling items on an auction website but found that the wholesale prices were too high to make a profit because other sellers on the auction website were pricing their products close to the wholesale prices or far below. Canceled my membership within a couple hours of first signing up. I hope they're honest and won't charge me since I canceled well within the 7-day trial period. |
zoie Portland | 11:22am on Thursday, February 28th, 2008 | I did the drop shipping thing and it was awful. I did not make money, I lost money. The company's charged too much and in order to compete with other sellers, I just about had to give the products away. I would advise against this type of thing. People that can make money on this, more power to them. |
