Data Money Online Review
Is Gene Truman's www.DataMoneyOnline.com a Scam...?
Data Money Online has just been released by Gene Truman and is quickly
growing in popularity. Already people are searching for information on
this program and are all wondering if it's legit or a scam.
At first glance the site has many red flags and contains the same type of
language and graphics found on many well known scam sites. Right from the
first statement that says, "Congratulations the Position is Available in Your
Area."
This kind of deceptive statement is often used to make folks believe they're
about to apply for a real job when in fact you're paying for affiliate
marketing training. Beyond that proclamation the sales pitch is not the
least bit original and follows the typical script.
Gene is your average Joe working a dead end job when he miraculously comes
across an opportunity that changed his life. Now out of the goodness of
his heart he's willing to share that opportunity with you...for a small price of
course.
So What's Data Money Online Really About...?
First off, this is not a real job and no matter what kind of gimmicks they
use to convince you otherwise Data Money Online is a basic affiliate marketing
course. If you examine the website closely you'll see all the telltale
signs.
The pictures of Gene's "proof" of payments and checks are all from ClickBank,
a site that hosts digital products for affiliate marketers to promote. In
the course they'll simply show you how to advertise a website that features some
of these products.
The way you make money is that when and only when someone purchases a
product you're promoting you'll earn a commission. This is usually
around 50% of the items' sales price. However there's a catch that they
purposefully don't tell you about.
...Is Data Money Online Legit or a Scam?
Now there's nothing wrong with affiliate marketing, it's a legitimate and
profitable industry, but there's definitely something wrong with the way that
DataMoneyOnline.com present the opportunity to new members.
They say ,"10000+ Companies Are Looking For People Like You To Do Simple Form
Processing Online." What they don't tell you is that these forms are
really online ads belonging to Google's AdWords program and it'll cost you
money each time someone clicks on them, between $0.20 - $2.00 per click.
This is crucial info that people need to know before deciding whether or
not to invest in the Data Money Online course. So while the method it self
isn't a scam the people behind DMO are for
their deliberate customer deception.
Moreover, the terms of agreement for
DataMoneyOnline.com state that the company is governed under the laws of West
Bengal, India. A fact that should make people think twice before sending
them their hard earned money. If you're at Reviewopedia.com because you're looking for a way to make money online then check out our article "7 Ways to Make Money Online" - methods that anyone can use to earn an income from home.

Kim Illlinois | 9:11pm on October 20th, 2009 | This program is the biggest rip-off ever.
|
Louise, Montreal, Canada | 11:39am on October 9th, 2009 | This UPDATE is for all those who have been ripped off by GENE TRUMAN'S DATA MONEY ONLINE!
When I got my credit card report I looked at the charge and it states: CPIpay.com - so I typed it in my browser and lo and behold! a web page appears that seems to be the legitimate page for COMMERCEPAYICE, the processors for payments
of Data Money Online.
In the front page there is a button called BILLING INQUIRY so I entered and wrote to them the story of the ripoff and that there were many other people like me who had denounced them on the scam busting sites on the web. I told them that this makes them look very bad and that I expect a full refund from them for this scam. It is said in the terms and conditions of sale that we can report to them (commercepay) if we feel we have been misled or defrauded in any way. So I urge you all to do the same. Login to: www.cpipay.com NOW and let's flood them with requests for full refunds and urge them not to continue dealing with this company. It makes them look very bad. And if we do not get satisfaction, let us not EVER process a payment though them again.
They promise an answer within 48 hours and even offer to call us if we supply them with our phone number. GOOD LUCK! Maybe we haven't lost everything yet. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL! |
alex Miami | 11:36am on October 9th, 2009 | These people are a big SCAM. I went to the address on the web here in Miami and the location is for a company that has mail boxes, that's the number 5013. but they also told me that these people tried to open an account with them online ,but never registered,so this company has planes to pursue legal matters against datamoneyonline.com for using this address without even registering.
Can somebody really find out where these people are located so we can go to the state attorneys office to stop them once for all. |
cmb florida | 2:45pm on September 30th, 2009 | When I signed up for DATA MONEY ONLINE in August my computer froze and and I never got to do anything. I could not go back into the site because I was not officially a member. I never saw anything and I know that I did not do any training. I immediately sent an email to then stating this fact but I never got a response. I kept checking my email even in the spam folder and nothing. Well anyway I know that I did not start making any money which they say they will not charge you unless you start making money. So today I am looking at my bank statement and wondering what this charge is for $47 from DATA DIRECT. I tried calling the 888-817-2919 and got a message that the long distance is not set up. I tried a few times and even used a different phone but nothing. I called my bank and filed a dispute I never heard of them before and did not realize who it was till I started looking around. I found my original email and sent it to them with a nasty letter telling them off and asking to give my money back. I wonder what will happen we will see. The bank said i could have my money back in 2 days. I was told before if you really do not know who the company is you can dispute the charge. I am so glad that I could find more information about the rip off company like someone said on here earlier can we get it into SNOPES. I am also going to file a complaint with the online BBB. |
lin nj | 1:28pm on September 30th, 2009 | i am glad i came here before signing on with this company, always check terms n conds and privacy 1st,then check bbb,and datamoneyonline.com for this tremendous list of complaints, life just cant be that easy |
MBH Pender County | 9:47pm on September 29th, 2009 | They are thieves!!!!!!! Took my money without authorization and gave bogus phone numbers to the bank. I am taking charges out on them as well as the bank for fraud. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM OR EVEN OPEN THEIR E_MAIL!!!!!!!!! |
Linda Oregon | 3:11pm on September 28th, 2009 | They are ripoffs. They take your money and then promise a refund if you cancel within 24 hours but do not answer phone calls or emails. |
Anonymous ILLINOIS | 11:16am on September 25th, 2009 | Okay Derrick Mcguire....steps of training were never completed in my situation and I did request refund in the allotted time frame-
see below- indian law in the USA-how pathetic
The above guarantee is applicable only if the ***User completes all the steps of the training within 24 hours of logging in to their account. All trials will be settled permanently if the User does not completes the training within 24 hours time frame, irrespective of making money or not. In case the user is not satisfied with the program, in order to get a refund they will have to call us within 24 hours of their cards being charged for the first fee of $7.95 |
Roger Donnick Homer Glen Illinois | 11:13am on September 25th, 2009 | This company is a rip off- They claim to abide by Indian Law so they won't refund money that was never authorized in the first place. Don't fall for the scam. |
Molly Alabama | 6:09pm on September 24th, 2009 | Sep 16 I purchased a trial for $7.95, before 2 days were up, they took out of my account $197.00 without my permission, I went to Refunds@datsmoneyonline.net requested my $197.00 back, have not received it back, these people need to fry for doing this to people. |
S.M.S. Hawai | 5:41am on September 18th, 2009 | This is terrible! I've gone through the same as everyone else, except, I didn't even order the thing my self. I just saw fraud charges and did some research on the nonworking number which led me to this report. But upon reading these reports at least I know there is some light at the end of the tunnel. I already e-mailed support 3 times with no responses but the auto one. And I plan to call the three (two third party numbers and the other number) to get some answers and hopefully a refund. If not, it's off to my bank to dispute this whole thing. Wish me luck.
For any one wanting to join datamoneyonline, this is probably one of the worst decisions you'd ever make. |
hmmm AZ | 10:32pm on September 17th, 2009 | Thank you so much for the information this site provides. I am sorry for those of you that did not find it sooner, they've only got my name and email, but, hopefully we all learn something from this. When it seems to good to be true, IT IS! Is there a way to get this info on SNOPES? That would really get the word out. |
Angie TN | 12:28pm on September 16th, 2009 | I also signed up for the trial promotion which was only $7.95, but after getting into the website in greater detail, I emailed them to cancel my membership. But they did not, and 2 days later they charged my credit card. I found a contact number on this website where they do answer and they will cancel your membership!! I had to email the refund dept. to see if they are going to refund my $197 back or not since I emailed in a timely manner. I am still keeping my fingers crossed.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THE COMPANY!!!! |
Kay Birmingham Al | 8:12am on September 16th, 2009 | I went through the whole nightmare with this company. I started trying to cancel my service the day I ordered it and all I got was a recording on the phone and no reply confirmation emails. I was charged the $7.95 and the $197.00. I found this phone number on this webpage, 877-546-8510, they canceled my service and I sent an email to refunds@datamoneyonline and within 48 hours I had all my money back. I do believe this is a scam, I just wanted to post this information to help anyone else who lost money to these people. |
s hogge Virginia | 9:16pm on September 15th, 2009 | too bad they didn't have a 0 to put in there for there rating. this site saved me $197 and the 7.95. thanks for posting this. i am on disability and was at the end of my rope. i was and still desperate to find someway to make money online. tried the 3xp thing and lost money, thank God didn't get into this one. did i see a link at the top of this page????? is anyone honest anymore??a big whew and thank you. good luck to you all. |
Nae Kentucky | 4:54pm on September 15th, 2009 | I was told I would be doing data entry from home. And it would be a one time REFUNDABLE $7.95. After I purchased it and was reading the info they gave I realized it wasn't data entry. I immediately tried to contact them and got a recording. On the data entry site there was nothing in the terms stating the 197 charge or no refunds!I checked with my bank to find there was $197.00 charged from an unknown source. The # from the initial charge (from bank)I was able to talk to a person who canceled my order, and confirmed THEY charged me the $197! But couldn't authorize a refund.I was given an email refunds@datamoneyonline.com. I DID receive a reply stating that I couldn't get a refund at all! And gave me the link to datamoneyonline.com which clearly states their bull s--t a-- refund policy. I had to wait for the payments to process before filing fraud with my bank. But when the payments were processed it was for 8.10 and 200.49! I'm fighting this now with my bank wish me luck. Oh...I saved all my emails and receipt from them which states something totally different from the charges on my account. |
michelle florida | 8:13am on September 14th, 2009 | Thanks to sites like this I will not be signing up. Please report this to the online BBB as they have very little information. Only 1 complaint was filed at the seflorida.bbb.org. |
w north east | 12:03am on September 13th, 2009 | thanks for your info. |
Tammy Allen Oklahoma | 4:14pm on September 11th, 2009 | They dont even deserve the 1 rating. They need to be stopped. I have emailed this company over and over. I have also tried to call, but never an answer. I even sent them an email stating what they said to me, "I would not be charged until I started earning money"!!! Well not only have I never made any money, I have never received a program. I am livid that these people can get away with this. I was recently laid off and this looked like the "perfect" at home job. Well I am here saying to anybody thinking about, DON'T!!!!! If anybody gets their money back, way to go................ |
