The BuckTrak Budget Planner is an online alternative to the Mint.com budget planner. Like Mint, BuckTrak is free and allows users to keep track of income and expenses within many different financial accounts. However, unlike Mint, users don't have to allow access to their financial accounts. Users can upload bank or credit card statements to BuckTrak without worrying about security issues, since BuckTrak doesn't need account numbers to keep track of transactions.

Pros:
* BuckTrak users can generate pretty detailed reports on income and expenses
* Users can create specific budget categories and subcategories according to their needs - they don't have to use preconfigured categories
* BuckTrak is free; like Mint, it is advertising supported

* No need to grant access to financial accounts

Cons:
* Some of the tools available in Mint are not available in BuckTrak; however - odds are the average user won't need those tools anyway
