Is Angela Penbrook's Process at Home a Scam...?

Angela Penbrook is currently promoting a relatively new work from opportunity.  She claims that her company can set you up with a job getting paid top dollar to simply process rebates at home.

Her program sounds very promising and Angela's home page says that, after you pay the $197 for your membership, she'll put you in contact with companies in need of rebate processors.

In reality her program teaches you how to sell digital products online for commission, then offer your own rebate.  The money that you make from each sale minus the rebate is what you will be earning.

So for instance, if an eBook is selling for $50 with an affiliate program that pays 50% commission they advise you to offer a rebate in the neighborhood of $10.  Thus, if you get a sale you make $25 - $10 with a profit of $15.

However, in order to attract customers to your rebate proposal you will have to advertise on the major search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN.  This advertising is done on a cost per click basis and if you follow the system you should be prepared to invest several hundred dollars into this.  This is something that Angela Penbrook waits to tell you until after you've payed the $197 membership fee.

So basically, you're not paying for a job but for a sales strategy that can be applied to affiliate marketing.  It is possible to make money with this method but it requires money to invest as you will be paying every time somebody clicks on your advertisement.  Within one day this can quickly add up to you losing $40 - $160 per day if you don't know what you're doing.

Angela Penbrook's advertising is grossly misleading.  Yes it's true that you'll be "Processing Rebates" but that's only after you've spent money, referred a sale, and avoided a refund.

Unfortunately, you have to remember: if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Jobs do NOT fall out of the sky. Working from home is what everyone wants - but to do that, you have to put in your time somewhere first. Then try to work that out with THAT company. By then, you are already a known entity to them - and they to you.

Be ware of ANYONE who wants you to pay any amount UP FRONT. I learned this one the hard way myself with another scam. Turned out, all they wanted was my account information. Now I tell everyone NO. I hang up. I have a "no solicitors" sign on my door and I'm on the do not call list. When people call to give me a "free" trip to Vegas, I tell them nothings free and I don't have time to figure out what the scam is. Then hang up. Trust no one.

I had joined Angela Pembrook's process from home or whatever she calls it. I was supposed to get her telephone number and emails address within 3 hrs. Well it was 4 days later and by this time I made attempts to cancel and get a refund (that I did) Last week I joined Work At Home Recruiters which is an Auction processor. I was supposed to get immediately a software program. You have to do tests for think 10 days. So I did the first test and the quiz and passed. I had to wait until the next day for day 2. When I clicked on it, the second day, nothing happened. I could not download the second day's training. There wasn't even a website, no email contact - just a toll free number. I called it but they do not work on Sunday. So I thought about it and decided this was not a good start and wanted to get my money back. So since there was no contact, I got a hold of the person who sent me the email to ask for a refund. I never heard back from her (that was on June 7th). I keep sending her emails and no replies. So I called the toll free number and they keep saying no one is available to take my call - to leave a message. I can't tell you how many times I called and the same response. I really do not think they would ever call me back. I found the following info on the Internet. This lady's name is Cathy Brooks alias Emily Thomas is really Angela Pe3mbrook. Look at this article:
The company, Auction Work at Home and Cathy Banks, do not appear to be legitimate. On the website there are 3 different addresses listed all across the US. The returns dept is in Utah, the address for Auction Work at Home is in Delaware, and somehow the terms and conditions of the website are governed by Minnesota Law. I don't know how, with this one, to get my money back. Can anyone help me?

thanks......and help........!@!!!!!!!!

I invested $197 to find out you then needed to invest another 8 to 10 thousand dollars to start an internet business. When I asked for a refund I was told they would process, even gave me a confirmation number, but never rec'd the refund. I reported this to the Federal Trade Commission and have mailed them back an official legal statement. Anyone that has been defrauded by this scam should do the same. We need to stop this kind of internet scam.

I received the info for a fee.I have tried to send several messages and never get them to go thru. I have their address now and am sending small claims info to them for the sum of the monies they took. I got one phone call but wasnt here and nobody bothered to try to make contact again. Pretty poor business practice. I guess I shud have known they were ripoff artists. I am doing small claims just for the principle and to get their name on record.

Thanks

"Angela Penbrook" is a made up name. This person doesn't exist. The Phone number is fraudulent and because of the abuse cause through the sight the owner of that phone # is reporting any and everyone who calls him to the FCC. Further the User is seeking action against the People who used his phone number through the FCC.

Cracks me up that everybody really believes there is someone called "Angela Penbrook" and that this is her program, which she stumbled upon and created after all those terrible things happened in her life. The woman in those videos is an actress, a wannabe actress, or somebody's friend, who for whatever reason agreed to create that video. Angela Penbrook is, not surprisingly, just a "Pen" name lol.

Some people are trying to find out who's really behind this scam and make their life miserable in one way or another. Some names have been mentioned on this site, which may or may not be the actual names of those involved. However, trying to find the people that are truly behind these types of scams can be very difficult as they generally hide behind multiple layers of fake business fronts. One thing that CAN be done though, is to splash this woman's face on Youtube by reposting her video there, and seeing if anybody knows this woman. If you can find the woman pretending to be Angela Penbrook, and prove she's just a fake, then it should be easy enough to get this scam shut down and for people to get refunds from their credit card companies.

So my suggestion... put her video (which can be found on several websites) up on Youtube asking if anybody actually knows this woman, and see what happens. You'll get a lot of BS replies, but you might actually get lucky and find her.

We have been trying to get our $197 refunded to us since may, this is the biggest rip-off ever, It is nice to see that the most desparate and vunerable people who have the most to lose, are being bilked out of there last pennies, payback is a bitch, I will personally see that whoever has taken our money will be exposed for the f**kin frauds they are, you will get yours, I promise

I bought the program in April and cancelled before the 30 days because they wanted me to invest another $1000. I said that was impossible and have called and e-mailed to no avail. I have now been told that I've been calling the wrong number! I think a class action suit should be filed against Ms. Penbrook. Evidently this is how she is making her money, by keeping ours.

Angela Penbrook and angel stevens is also a scam because they took $200.00 + dollars from my wife, and when she tried to get a refund they kept hanging up in her face and or talking real ugly to her. I just wish I could come face to face with some of these crooks and know their names, they would be in prison where they belong. for all you scammers out there get your lazy ass a f-----g job stop praying on hard working people your day is near.

I purchased the Angela Penbrook program. Angela made it sound great on the internet. I read through everything. I did learn that you had to do all the advertising. That was not something I wanted to do. I called and canceled my membership and program. I called two days after the purchase. This was well within the time limit to get a refund. I spend $197. I have now called 10 times to get a refund and it is yet to show up in my bank account. Each time I talk with the same supervisor and am always assured that it has been done while I am on the phone them. It never has happened. I even asked them if this was a scam and told them that I thought it was. Nothing. I would like to know if there is any legal action that I can take. This has to be against the law.

What all do you have on Tafiti Consulting or FX Solutions or FX Marketing. I got taken back together to show that they scammed me bad. Got 4890.00 and it was such a crappy program to boot. I appreciate any help that you could provide as my credit card co. will not go against them until I find proof that they have scammed others!!

After attempting to deal with penbrook for a refund for four months, they referred me to Fastsupportlive. They are as hopeless and helpless as Penbrook. I have dealt with them for over a month and a half to no avail. They, too contniue to tell me the money is on the way (check's in the mail). Then they tell me that a manager will contact me ( for a basic refund), but none has contacted me since July 11. Must be a busy organization to not be able to return a call for 45 days. Now, my claim has vanished and I cannot access their website without changing to a new email address. ANOTHER SCAM!
